Thousands of people packed into Ace Speedway in North Carolina Saturday ... and it's a vision of coronavirus.
Check out the pics ... most people aren't wearing masks as they squeezed in like sardines to watch the race.
Around 4,000 fans paid $15 a pop in rural Alamance County. Only around 1 in 10 folks were wearing masks.

Ain’t civil disobedience wonderful.
What was racing? Stock cars? Lawnmowers?
Well, luck to them. I admire their expression of freedom, but Darwin is still gonna Darwin.
While I believe in opening up safely and swiftly, SAFELY is part of that equation.
I admire their enthusiasm, but Darwin’s still gonna Darwin.
Stock car racing.
I would certainly hope not.
He is the Gretchen Whitmer of the southeast. Filled with sleaze and spite. He'll keep North Carolina shutdown until November if he thought it would help the Democrats beat Trump.
Good loud fun.
And the Governor is going to cancel the Republican convention!
That movie came to mind right as I read your comment :-)
Refreshing to see this.
The “we know better than you, selfish jerks” crowd are beyond nauseating.
I don’t think these people are selfish. However, since an average 40% of spread from an infected person occurs before symptoms show up, I shall now call these events DA WOO FLOO RACES!!! YEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
(Or maybe Da Meat Packers Races would be a suitable alternative.)
“Until it’s safe” means “Never” (D. Prager)
They are not selfish, just pointing out that the media is quick to call them that, like the Tyrant supporters the media are. Same thing happened in Toronto and the media sounded like a parent chastising its children. They can’t believe people are starting to gather in a normal way, the media tried so hard to keep them apart.
I used to go to the flat track when I was a kid. Also a drag racing fan. Had a neighbor that ran at a Track in Baytown, TX. He had a ‘69 Camaro with a 454 and open headers.
I like to point out that if social distancing, mask mask are the requirements to prevent the spread of the virus then I would say that by now they should be carrying the dead out of all the huge homeless encampments scattered about the country’s major metro areas by the dump truck loads. Especially when you add in the factors of drug and alcohol abuse. poor health, poor nutrition and total lack of sanitary facilities.
Denial is not a river in Egypt. :-(
