“Medieval expressions” lol. A good buddy who passed a couple of years had, as he often said, “a million of ‘em”.
The most apropos here would be “If Trump was able to fire all the people who need to be fired, he’d be busier’s a one-legged man at an ass-kicking contest!”.
I’ve managed to add a few Scottish phrases to my repertoire, but I use them cautiously to avoid havin’ me bum oot the windae.
I would add that the Scots have an incredible number of slang synonyms for “idiot”. Which are most effective when combined with the usual swear words.

LOL! One of my favorite sayings.
There’s always the “busier than a one-armed paper hanger” and “ busier than a cat covering $hit on a tin roof”.
I worked with a number of union ironworkers from Kentucky. Their sayings were gold.
