You’re probably right, Cletus, but I’d sure like it to be true. It might go a long way toward explaining all those weird cases of déja vu I’ve had.
Those are the events where I will swear that everything I’m doing and saying at that moment in time, and for the 15-30 seconds following, feels like a memory that I’m experiencing again. Only it couldn’t possibly be a memory, because I’ve never been in that place or with those people before.

I had one of those as a child. It had to do with a friend of my older sister, krill we called ‘worms’ (that year only), and jumping in the waves at my childhood beach spot. It was very specific, very oddly worded, and very vivid. I recall, when I looked over to the fiend in the surf, I knew exactly what she was going to say, and she said it.
I was blown away and remember it to this day. Clearly there is much more to the river known as ‘time’.
One hypothesis is that déjà vu is caused by a misfiring of neurons.
Can I use it to back and forth?
