I'd think there are laws against spying on American citizens without a warrant. I doubt they got FISA warrants for Solomon and Carter.
But didn't I read just the other day here that Obama signed some executive order or something allowing the spying on American citizens without a warrant when they are on foreign soil? Not sure if that's a thing or not.

I’m politely butting in here, on your question to Bagster, “Why are you so bothered that Dis and I (and a few others) still wish to pick a 200-1 longshot nag in this white/black hat race?”
I began posting on this issue after observing over a very long period of time comments from those who hold the white-hat view for RR/RM.
I don’t want to guess at names given some of the periods of time that have passed, so I’ll say someone posted, “Can you believe it? In the forum people STILL THINK RR is a black hat! Unbelievable!”
This was posed as the difference between Q thread participants and those in the forum. My first thought was, “When did that long-shot speculative theory become expected consensus for our threads?”
Then someone posted that they didn’t hold to the theory that RR was a black hat because they had escaped “the echo chamber.” I thought that must mean believing Q’s extensive posts portraying RM/RR as blackhats, and observing RR’s public performance, mark one as a benighted, trapped in an “echo chamber”.
I replied to that post trying to make the point that black hat theory could indeed be based on facts/logic and need not be assumed to be the result of echo chamber thinking. I and another poster noted a reluctance on the part of white hat theorists to explain any thinking behind what they themselves acknowledge is a long shot view (fraction of a percent etc.). Yet to me it seems a few negative associations have somehow become attached to those who hold to black hat theory and ARE willing to explain the information upon which they base their understanding.
I believe I’ve heard white hat theorists reference “keeping an open mind”. Given there are two opposing sides debating an issue, that may imply to some that those who hold the black hat view are being closed-minded.
As a black hat theorist myself, I can say my opinion will change the moment the data and information it’s based on changes - how is analyzing information as it’s obtained and holding a cohesive theory closed-minded?
Why would my failure to adopt a theory that even adherents say is a long-shot (less than 5% chance of being true) cause me to begin to “win” negative classifications like “close minded,” “echo chambered” or “unbelievably” out-of touch?
That is why I have begun to post my theoretical reasoning for my opinions; my silence may have been mistaken for unthinking faith etc. and that is a failing on my part of which I will try to be more mindful.
Anyway, your question to Bagster felt like it fit like a glove for my current thoughts and I wanted to explain; I hope you don’t mind my volunteering content in reply.
I have often wondered if Meyers-Briggs personality theory plays a factor in those who are most likely/least likely to follow Q content in the first place. One of 16 personality types in that theory has such a marked preference for chronological, concrete data collection (highly prized traits in many professions) that I imagine it could be quite a battle for them to entertain the possibility that Q is real. Other personality types have fewer hurdles as they are more likely to accept scraps of information out of sequence and function with it until more is known.
Our current differences re white hat and black hat have me wondering if again we are upon personality “preferences” (cognitive habits) found in Meyers-Briggs personality theory. In analyzing the information before us, I give priority to the combined goals of Q and POTUS, Trump’s promises, and how he is perceived re re-election (i.e., he can’t be in charge of a hoax, break laws etc.), and it seems white-hat theory repeatedly requires me to adopt the “happiest interpretation” or best case scenario reasoning of private intentions and conversations to a degree that would be statistically impossible.
I note that others are not using my criteria at all, even when/if they avoid classifying my reasoning negatively. Prioritizing different data sets often results in differences of opinion. The tendency to have information preferences and prioritize differently seemed to me to be the feature of personality theory I found most useful when employing it at work.
Meyers-Briggs personality theory holds that all 16 personality types are equally complimentary; they all contribute strengths that, when taken together, form an intact whole with vast capabilities which are supplemented by every individual’s skillset and life’s experiences. I consider this personality theory a cognitive version of “TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG” and WWG1WGA.

I wasn’t aware Q people had an official consensus and belief and I sure wouldn’t want those beyond the trees or the media to get the wrong ideas from my heresies. No matter how well I express my repulsive and laughable ideas.

You Know in my opinion, if RR is White, Grey or Black Hat? it really doesn’t matter how that chess piece was played at this point in time. The point of my rant wasn’t really to debate the RM/RR issue. I hold no claim to truth in my beliefs. My point was that none of us do.
The task of divining reality from 4k Q posts is a difficult one. He (that’s an assumption) is speaking to us, he is also speaking to those we oppose. He admits disinfo is included in these posts mixed in with Socratic leading questions posed in a most engaging manner. We’ve learned so much on this Magical Mystery Tour in so many subject areas. We aren’t force-fed, this education requires us to actively participate in the knowledge Quest.
It seems to me we are engaged in something never before conceived: a global consciousness-raising utilizing this brave new communication tool our species has developed over the past few decades. McLuhan studied the effects of the printing press, radio, movies and TV on our psyches over time. Our species has come a long way from oral continuity of culture and the concept of future shock is quite real. The internet is something new and we are in the midst of how we are being changed, it’s difficult (for me) to see the big picture.
My working assumption/belief is that the Q team does understand what they are doing and they are doing what they’re doing to us for the right reasons. We are proceeding to dissolve long-held illusions in a progression towards perhaps not an ultimate reality, but at least to a more aware one. The political/spiritual war is crucial for survival, but there are many levels engaging here.
We are going through stages, not unlike those in methodologies used by certain Asian metaphysical systems. A progression of illusions to be shattered.
I apologize, metabolizing alcohol earlier ingested doesn’t help my eloquence. My main point is we should avoid being too dogmatic at this stage. We certainly do not know it all and best be prepared for further change.
