I feel the flight from NYC will be swift and damaging.
I live in a rural Appalachian county. 99.99999998% white. No muslims and maybe 5 black families in the entire county. I see hispanics at the gas station on the highway passing through.
We rarely look our doors only when we go on vacation-our town of 400 people are all gun owners and watch out for each other.
That being said over the last 4-5 years big city easterners have been buying up plots of ground and building homes.
We have a husband and wife who just build a house near us on 15 acres. Retired from DC both worked for the federal gov’t and both liberal as all heck.
Our little Shangrila is being discovered.

I heard at one point he had roadblocks up at the borders to try and stop anyone carrying the virus but I have no idea if that is true, was effective or is still happening.
I just know what I see from my property. When you live next to the highway, it is not hard to spot a car from the big city versus what folks around here drive. They might as well be from a foreign country.
Lots of ‘em are moving to Florida... which could really mess up the State if they changed registration from New York to Florida...

If Governor Corleone Cuomo can claim that New York's pandemic came from Europe just because that strain went from China to Europe to New York, can we now call what these escapees spread "the New York plague".

No worries, Cuomo just promised New Yorkers not to worry the state is going broke, he assured his powerpoint audience that Congress will most assuredly give him the 52 billion he says he wants.

Some high end zip codes in California have had 10-20% price increases in homes since March.
Those zips, also, have had minimal documented cases of the Corona-19 and minimal hospitalizations/deaths from it.
I hope it is like “The Mask of the Red Death” for them.
