Maybe, but even then 175 TV broadcasters sold their licenses in the 2017 auction and either went online-only or became content providers to another stations digital subchannel. Some just took the money and went dark, a list is here:

The point I’m making is, over-the-air broadcasting which is regulated by FCC is being replaced by online streaming, where it becomes just another of many forms of content that most want to keep free from government censorship. I have zero confidence that the feds will regulate content in any way that is beneficial to our side.

Understand your take. However, I think we’re trading public record govt oversight for private techno-oligarchy oversight with fewer options of recourse for discriminating practices [ala twitter, google, Facebook, etc censorship]
