Shortly after my colleague Sara Carter and I began reporting in 2017 on the possibility that the FBI was abusing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to spy on Americans during the Russia investigation, I received a call. It was an intermediary for someone high up in the intelligence community.
The story that source told me that day initially I feared it may have been too spectacular to be true was that FBI line agents had actually cleared former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn of any wrongdoing with Russia only to have the bureau's leadership hijack the process to build a case that he lied during a subsequent interview.
In fact, my notes show, the source used the words "concoct a 1001 false statements case" to describe the objections of career agents who did not believe Flynn had intended to deceive the FBI. A leak of a transcript of Flynn's call with the Russian ambassador was just part of a campaign, the source alleged.
The tip resulted in a two-and-a-half-year journey by myself and a small group of curious and determined journalists like Carter, Catherine Herridge, Greg Jarrett, Mollie Hemingway, Lee Smith, Byron York, and Kimberly Strassel to slowly peel back the onion.

They correctly see President Trump as a threat to their power, perks, and funding. They will justify any atrocity to attack President Trump.
The perpetrators now find themselves in extreme jeopardy:
1) A crime with no predicate.
2) falsification of FBI forms 302
3) FBI investigator notes which indicate political motivation
4) Meetings at the highest level in which Rice revealed in her memo what strategy was to be followed, Obama, Comey, Rice, Clapper and Brennan were present at a series of such meetings.
5) Obama now taking to the media posturubg himself to limit his exposure to liability, ( He will pay big time)
Add this up and it is but one result: Malicious Prosecution#
Because it involved organizational crime and racketeering, the extraordinary remedies available from a RICO offense are obvious.
And the various perpetrators of this crime , include a law firm which acted in conflict of interest ( Flynns original legal team that advised him to plead guilty), FBI Agent Strzok, Comey, McCabe,Yates, Rice, Brennan, Clapper and Obama himself. All of the perpetrators exceeded their governmental authorities of office so that the legal jeopardy is personal, the government nor the taxpayers are liable for these millions of dollars in damages. All of the perpetrators are personally liable in the millions of dollars. (Not to mention the federal crimes of sedition, treason and espionage, and the likely disbarment of several attorneys involved in Flynns original defense team.)
I expect that letters pleading settlement have already been received by Flynns legal counsel. For the benefit of America, I hope General Flynn proceeds to a public civil trial in a malicious prosecution suit for damages.Let them all lose their homes and livelihoods in return, for that is indeed what Justice demands.

Malicious prosecution is an intentional tort designed to provide redress for losses flowing from an unjustified prosecution....
Under the first element of the test for malicious prosecution, the plaintiff must prove that the prosecution at issue was initiated by the defendant. This element identifies the proper target of the suit, as it is only those who were actively instrumental in setting the law in motion that may be held accountable for any damage that results....
The second element of the tort demands evidence that the prosecution terminated in the plaintiffs favour. This requirement precludes a collateral attack on a conviction properly rendered by a criminal court, and thus avoids conflict between civil and criminal justice. The favourable termination requirement may be satisfied no matter the route by which the proceedings conclude in the plaintiffs favour, whether it be an acquittal, a discharge at a preliminary hearing, a withdrawal, or a stay. However, where the termination does not result from an adjudication on the merits, for example, in the case of a settlement or plea bargain, a live issue may arise whether the termination of the proceedings was in favour of the plaintiff....
The third element which must be proven by a plaintiff absence of reasonable and probable cause to commence or continue the prosecution further delineates the scope of potential plaintiffs. As a matter of policy, if reasonable and probable cause existed at the time the prosecutor commenced or continued the criminal proceeding in question, the proceeding must be taken to have been properly instituted, regardless of the fact that it ultimately terminated in favour of the accused....
Finally, the initiation of criminal proceedings in the absence of reasonable and probable grounds does not itself suffice to ground a plaintiffs case for malicious prosecution, regardless of whether the defendant is a private or public actor. Malicious prosecution, as the label implies, is an intentional tort that requires proof that the defendants conduct in setting the criminal process in motion was fueled by malice. The malice requirement is the key to striking the balance that the tort was designed to maintain: between societys interest in the effective administration of criminal justice and the need to compensate individuals who have been wrongly prosecuted for a primary purpose other than that of carrying the law into effect.

We really need some type of reward for journalists who go above and beyond in their efforts to get at the truth. In this case this handful of reporters might have saved the republic (if it can be saved). Of course youd insult a real journalist by giving him a democrat shit shoveling award of excellence Pulitzer.
Yes, we may not all always agree with how he goes about it, but Trump has stood strong and is a fighter like weve never seen as President. A few of these journalists like Solomon have been brave as well. And truth is, the battle has just really begun.
The enemies of President Trump and the Republic correctly see him as an existential threat to their philosophy.
They see themselves as gods, as the elect, as the intellectual elite who rightly rule the world, not just one mere nation. Nations are a quaint old idea that is dangerous and must be slowly smothered out of existence, in order to prevent wars, in their ivory tower view.
The election of President Trump has threatened their very world view. According to their understanding, it could not and should not, have happened! It must not be allowed to stand! Any means is legitimate to defeat the abomination!
They do not believe in truth, right and wrong, or morals. Their only standard is power, obtaining it, and keeping it. Not just the power in political offices, but the power behind that power, the power to shape the narrative, decide what issues are important, who is eligible for political office, what is a scandal, what is not, and what words are allowed to mean.
Excellent article with lots of references.
It is true investigative journalists like John Solomon and Sara Carter that deserve Pulitzer prizes, not the political hacks at the NY Times, who knowingly helped perpetuate the Russia collusion hoax. IF IF IF the Pulitzer committee had any integrity, they would recall those prizes. A big IF, I know.
Strong words but true! Excellent post.
Probably not.
We need to make our own awards for serious investigative journalism done courageously to defend against the powerful elites, such as those who wield the power of the Pulitzer.
Woodward and Bernstein are still considered journalistic Gods for helping bring down Nixon.
John Solomon, Sarah Carter and the others are scorned as traitors to the cause....Go Figure.
“Flynns lawyers need investigating too. “
The lawyers of Covington & Burling LLP, where Erick Holder (former Obama AG) worked before and has worked after his stint in Obama’s administration?
THOSE lawyers?
Just for fun, watch Lara Logan go full wolverine on Maria Harf over Flynn and the corrupt DOJ, FBI and MSM. 2 minute video, one gut punch and face slap after another to a lying liberal.
https://twitter.com/davereaboi/status/1258809605263687683
How about Rod Rosenstein, mulehead and every single one of his cohorts, about 7 judges on the FISA court, and John{ too busy being blackmailed to do my job} Roberts.
Don't stop there, keep going up the line in the obama line of corrupt pals.
The DC swamp dwellers all have some kind of slime on their boots.
See 14. I used to wonder about Lara Logan. Not any more!
As real journalists begin to fight back and shame their sold-out hack lying MSM colleagues, the shameless liars will have nowhere to run and hide.
And it’s just beginning.
This 2 minute interchange between Logan and Harf was an epiphany for me. Imagine how the hacks must feel today. Like infected rats on a sinking ship.
btt
I hope so.
But they have no shame, morals, honor or integrity.
So the only way we could really get satisfaction here, is if the judge holds people in contempt for lying, misleading, and refusing his orders. I will hope for that. But I will not hold my breath.
The by the book memo drafted just before inorgeration day was designed to remove the obongo from any malicious prosecution. In his mind the memo to file shows I had nothing to do with what happened. They did it on their own.
