Prayers up for But Three Lefts Do. I was lucky when I hit the dirt recently. Only left me with sore arms, and back. Nothing needed surgery. Good luck fellow FReeper.

Prayers up. I’ve been blessed enough not to go through it, but my mother and wife have both had joint surgery, and it’s a time to really reach out and help.

My mom did the same last December. Two clean breaks in the upper femur bone. Surgery was one screw to secure the hip-ball and two screws at the upper femur. Three weeks later was walking with a cane. Today she’s hiking around with walking sticks. Shes 79. Amazing woman.
Lotta reason to be hopeful during hip recovery.

Keep an eye out for low red blood cell count (anemia) during the first week (*esp day 1-4) of post op. That will indicate internal bleeding after surgery. Please monitor that closely.

Stock up on vitamin supplements that are high iron and calcium. Eating organ meats are good..heart, liver for RBC count.
