Can’t say I have made a study of such things, so I may be way off base. but it seems like a murder suicide fueled by a love triangle wold have the shooter staying in the same room as the murdered victim when he takes his own life.

Also note that one piece of the triangle is missing. This is not typical of a murder suicide love triangle. Who is the third person? Just a coincidence that he was making breakthroughs on the virus, was connected to chapel hill, UNC, was a microbiologist, etc. And the other guy was a chief software engineer.

Just a coincidence I guess.
