#MeToo is a powerful motivation for a certain mindset. It is a categorical imperative. Believe the female accuser if the target is a Republican/conservative, and believe the male accused if the target is a Democrat/liberal.
They would be in something of a quandary if the male accused target turned out to be a Republican/liberal, but to be on the safe side, believe the female accuser.
