What an absolutely beautiful and truthful essay on the raggedy men. 'Cept for this part;

raising fearless warriors at every step

They may be the absolute worst warriors in human history.

Example:

Six Day War.

They are also known for throwing down their weapons, tearing off their uniforms and blending into the woodworks so they can blow up women and children and plant roadside bombs and run away.

Warriors my ass.

They are the punks of the planet.

They have always shown themselves to be TOTALLY FEARLESS warriors when fighting against:
Children
Unarmed civilians
Uh, um, er...
Children
etc.

This may be a recent change. If you read the history of Islamic butchery, it’s pretty amazing. Their butchery and torture against any who opposed their conquests was so horrible it’s difficult to read about (for me anyway). They made piles of skulls, eyeballs, etc killed people bit by bit, they were very ferocious. I have a book I could recommend if you’re interested.

Perhaps now with modern military opposing them their ferociousness has died down.
