I have a question for anyone legally inclined and familiar with certain Statutes that may govern any legal action that would ensue from the Tara Reade allegations against Joe Biden.....does anyone know if, given the nature of the attack, does it 1.) make it a felony charge?? and 2.) if it IS classified as a felony, is there no Statute of Limitation on this type of attack (penetration)?? Thanks, anyone who can answer....

There is a statute of limitations on most criminal charges. Not on taxes, not on murder, not on a few other things.

Statutes of limitation for rape range from 3 to 30 years. What Biden is accused of is short of rape.

SOL for 1st- and 2nd-degree offenses is 15 years. SOL for 3rd- and 4th-degree offenses is 10 years.

Not sure if it matters but someone on another thread said DC threw out almost all statute of limitations a couple of years ago.
