Mistake 1 - Lockdown We all know that the lockdown was a stupid idea. The curve could always have been flattened by voluntary means and by putting a special emphasis on the dangers to very old/sick.
Mistake 2 - keeping the lockdown After it became clear that the curve didnt need to be flattened and that hospitals were laying people off, then the lockdown should have been ended. But the government tyrants doubled down.
Mistake 3 - paying people and businesses 39k to use a ventilator on someone...giving people 20 dollars an hour not to work when they used to make 8 dollars an hour...trillions of dollars to companies and states. The CV government gravy train will help make many rich, just like with global warming. It also made people complacent about the lockdown.
Mistake 4 - caring about what scientists say about public policy Listen to scientists about science (maybe) but dont dare give these people power over public policy unless they get elected. Buckley has said he would rather be ruled by the first 2000 people in the Boston phone book than by the faculty at Harvard.
Mistake 5 - not allowing protests First amendment is more important that the Wuhan flu and it is more important than any disease - even a future one that may disfigure and kill little children.
I know I am missing a few hundred mistakes so feel free to add to the list.
Ping. Freepmail Impimp to go on the ping list.
Deep State formula for killing the economy:
If we can’t open up until “cases decrease for 2 weeks”,
and “we need more testing”
so when testing increases, number of cases increase.
Equals: Cases go up. Never meet the standard for opening.
Did I miss something?
More people died from the Rona in the last five mins than were killed in the battle of Ft Sumter!!
Bros, this is not a mistake. I was told our Founding Fathers explicitly wrote in the US Constitution, ", except when there is a virus." Now, while I haven't had a chance to look it up, I trust all the governors that think it is so.
Mistake 5 - not allowing protests...”
At the point that the above occurs it is the duty of Americans to shove that one back down their throats.
Mistake #6: Believing that everyone on FR valued freedom. At least half dont really care about liberty or the Constitution at all. In their fear, the want total government control of our lives.
Our church is open again today here in E. TN. Distancing, but masks not required.
We’d been praying for more members, but the large sanctuary and the small congregation will work well for the distancing issue. And, best of all: NO HANDSHAKING — hopefully never again.
Robbing our future economy and children of trillions of dollars to put together stimulus packages filled with democrat pork and hidden surprises
Keep up the good fight bro. I'm just not up for pig wrasslin' today. Think I'll head out to the beach and construct a model of girls in bikinis as a percentage of total population.
We learn as we go...who knew there was such a thing as ‘medicine’ and ‘Big Medicine?’
Obviously, Obama knows this is political nonsense.
I think you’re mostly right.
in the US (except maybe NYC) hospitals didn’t get overwhelmed.
I don’t blame governors for stay-at-home given what was known at the time. It doesn’t look like stay-at-home was needed in most areas,so it’s time to open things up and get back to work.
Here’s one for the seniors:
.
I was in a long line at 6:45 a.m. today at the grocery store that opened at 7 for seniors only. A young man came from the parking lot came and tried to cut in at the front of the line, but an old lady beat him back into the parking lot with her cane. He returned and tried to cut in again but an old man punched him in the gut, then kicked him to the ground and rolled him away.
As he approached the line for the 3rd time he said, “If you don’t let me unlock the door, you’ll never get in there.”
