Mistake 1 - Lockdown We all know that the lockdown was a stupid idea. The curve could always have been flattened by voluntary means and by putting a special emphasis on the dangers to very old/sick.
Mistake 2 - keeping the lockdown After it became clear that the curve didn’t need to be flattened and that hospitals were laying people off, then the lockdown should have been ended. But the government tyrants doubled down.
Mistake 3 - paying people and businesses 39k to use a ventilator on someone...giving people 20 dollars an hour not to work when they used to make 8 dollars an hour...trillions of dollars to companies and states. The CV government gravy train will help make many rich, just like with global warming. It also made people complacent about the lockdown.
Mistake 4 - caring about what scientists say about public policy Listen to scientists about science (maybe) but don’t dare give these people power over public policy unless they get elected. Buckley has said he would rather be ruled by the first 2000 people in the Boston phone book than by the faculty at Harvard.
Mistake 5 - not allowing protests First amendment is more important that the Wuhan flu and it is more important than any disease - even a future one that may disfigure and kill little children.
I know I am missing a few hundred mistakes so feel free to add to the list.

The corona virus is structurally different from a flu virus, so on that narrow point of epidemiology you are correct.

I didn’t argue anything about tens of thousands of deaths due to Covid-19. I do argue that you clearly have issues, are fixated on urination, and are attempting to squash any dissent on the current political response to this pandemic by trying to shame those who disagree with its heavy handed nature. Far, FAR greater percentages of the American population died from the COMMON flu and other more virulent and devastating diseases in past history - yet we didn’t shut the country down and go into mass hysteria then either.

Hi again BMcfrog but the difference between a flu virus (influenza) and the ChiCom Virus (coronavirus) are not narrowly different.
The ChiCom Virus is also not “pretty much a cold virus” as its lethality is far greater and this is not in dispute by the grim global toll.
I checked the weather forecast for today. No mention of golden showers, yet here you are...
