Its just the flu, bro.
Mistake 1 - Lockdown We all know that the lockdown was a stupid idea. The curve could always have been flattened by voluntary means and by putting a special emphasis on the dangers to very old/sick.
Mistake 2 - keeping the lockdown After it became clear that the curve didnt need to be flattened and that hospitals were laying people off, then the lockdown should have been ended. But the government tyrants doubled down.
Mistake 3 - paying people and businesses 39k to use a ventilator on someone...giving people 20 dollars an hour not to work when they used to make 8 dollars an hour...trillions of dollars to companies and states. The CV government gravy train will help make many rich, just like with global warming. It also made people complacent about the lockdown.
Mistake 4 - caring about what scientists say about public policy Listen to scientists about science (maybe) but dont dare give these people power over public policy unless they get elected. Buckley has said he would rather be ruled by the first 2000 people in the Boston phone book than by the faculty at Harvard.
Mistake 5 - not allowing protests First amendment is more important that the Wuhan flu and it is more important than any disease - even a future one that may disfigure and kill little children.
I know I am missing a few hundred mistakes so feel free to add to the list.
The other problem is by definition nursing homes group the most vulnerable together in large numbers. Though not reported by the media there are frequent outbreaks of disease (influenza, norovirus etc) that kill significant numbers of individuals in a given facility
In your own mind I suppose that might be true
You are delusional enough to think your citations are fact. You are not posting citations. You have not posted anything except your opinion which you proclaim as fact
We have a word for this. Harlot
Nothing on here worth responding to.
Some refer to it as ‘coronacold’.
And yet you respond. See the fallacy on your logic?
Actually as of May 1 covid alone deaths are at 37308;

Keep up the good fight bro. I'm just not up for pig wrasslin' today. Think I'll head out to the beach and construct a model of girls in bikinis as a percentage of total population.
I wonder if the scatologically fixated Fearper from the Yellow River thinks the authorities in New York were pissing on the graves of seniors when they sent infected residents back to burn a swath of destruction through their nursing homes.
Nothing on here worth responding to.
But yet....here you are!
Magic!
We learn as we go...who knew there was such a thing as ‘medicine’ and ‘Big Medicine?’
Is that what they mean when they say "We're all in this together?"
That's bogus.
It actually reads, "Unless we think there's a good reason."
Man, I've been fooled again. I wish I could find and read those founding documents to make sure on my own.
According to the CDC
As of May 1 there are 37,300 CoVId 19 deaths
There is actual data
Reported on they website.
CDC lying? Or do you just not like facts that show you for the liar you are
But since I'm here...
Status as I see it
The choice is not between being scared or bravely going about your life as though nothing has changed.
The choice is between doing the right thing to minimize the damage the virus does to the community or not.
The "rights" argument is mostly specious. We had lock downs and mask requirements in 1918. It didn't result in a totalitarian state and the requirements were lifted as soon as the threat was gone.
The "masks don't work" argument is specious. The AHA advises medical workers their risk of exposure is low if they wear masks and goggles. Nature Medicine has an article saying that N95 masks are highly effective for coronavirus. Proving gas_dr wrong again
Oh, so you don't like our 'tone?'
Well quote me properly
n95 May prevent transmission to a health care worker. The masks thst are surgical do not
The AHA is the American hospital association made of non clinical workers attempting to defray liability
The CDC reports on 37,000 deaths confirmed. This is a really important number
You believe thst lockdowns should be enforced pending graphs and data. The Danny and Romanesque style lockdowns are being declared I unconstitutional
You are free to isolate yourself. You are not free to dictate the business practices and freedoms of others. Especially on flimsy data
Now for some admittedly unsolicited, perhaps unwelcomed advice.
Reading through this thread this morning, your comment at Post 104 stopped me cold, romanesq. That you have "won" (a curious word to use when debating a health threat and human suffering and death) remains to be seen ... but what is clear is that you have in a sense been cheering on this Chinese virus as you would your pick at the dog track since you first heard about it in March after it had already been here for a few months. You appear to have, well, celebrated each death attributed to the virus which you have reported with breathless excitement so that you could proudly and publicly announce today (prematurely, I should add) that you "won" (although it is not clear what you expect from your "win").
Fortunately, although you engage persistently in Alinsky tactics to make your points you're not very good at it and you reveal your not-so-subtle nature from your repeated failures in applying those tactics (e.g., from the volume of posts you have written -- and I have read most -- it is clearly difficult for you to make your point without an ad hominem attack (your name-calling is not very creative and is, at best, weak); your metaphors resemble the product of a talentless screenwriter).
Understanding that passions are running high as this damaging overreaction to the Chinese virus continues to expand under the heavy thumb of some governors and other politicians even as the threat posed by the virus continues to wane across most of the country, although you make your points with passion you fail to persuade ... and I am suggesting the reason for these repeated failures is your technique.
Notwithstanding this critique, I offer my sincere best wishes for your continued good health. Cheers!
