They’re definitely effective if Vectors are prevented from wholesale spraying. They’re also effective if healthy people can filter out most of the viron

if you believe your mask filters out the virus, then wear it and save your life. But you have no right to assume that you are the only healthy person on the plane and that everyone else exists only to spread their deadly virus to your pristine body.

You’re just frustrated because you’ve allowed yourself to be whipped up into a hysterical panic and you’re unable to convince others to join in your self-inflicted misery.

“if you believe your mask filters out the virus, then wear it and save your life.”

Don’t worry, I’m doing just that. I’ll be fine.

“But you have no right to assume that you are the only healthy person on the plane and that everyone else exists only to spread their deadly virus to your pristine body.”

While I agree with your depiction of my bod, my primary concern is the relatively small number of very dangerous super-spreaders - people who show no symptoms, but spread the virus like crazy. Countries which have been successful in controlling the virus simply didn’t let them spread it. Other countries didn’t give a damn if they took the train into Grand Central every day, sickening an entire city.

I don’t need to convince others - Southwest is doing it for me.
