You will not find a single body on any video of mine of Pompeii. I find the display of those casts appalling, as I do the display and dissection of Egyptian mummies. These people hoped to rest in peace, and we’ve destroyed that hope.
But I am completely green with envy at your tour of the town. I can only hope you both had great shoes.
We had actually trained for three months for our trip, hiking up steep mountains in the valley.
If you have not run across them, there are some amazing videos on YouTube under “4K Walking Tour”. Search for that and Pompeii, you will be amazed if you have not already found it. They also have them of almost every major city and tourist site.
I send them to my elderly mom so she can walk the streets of Pompeii in her easy chair - She loves them! We love seeing the things we missed, since we left after the bodies.
