In this designer jeans commercial spoof, Rhonda Weiss (Gilda Radner) is an "American princess and a disco queen" who models designer jeans that you don't have to be Jewish to wear, "but it wouldn't hurt." Aired 02/16/80

Hey I almost voted for Kinky Friedman for Tx Gov.
What could go wrong? He and Willie would sit around the Govs mansion wearing cowboy hats, playing guitars, smoking funny cigars...
No legislation would have been passed.
Her, Garrett Morris, Dan Aykroid. They were the best.
Gilda’s 1972 feminist anthem “I’m a Woman!” made fun of the angry womyn of the early `Movement’.
“I have to do the jumping around!!”
But Emily Litella & Roseanne Rosannadanna remain priceless.
You can't get away with that comedy now in today's politically correct world. Ironically, there was a lot more tolerance back then because no matter who we were, we could laugh at ourselves and not take offense at our culture being made sport of.
Jane Curtin ripping open her blouse on “Weekend Update” was a hoot.
“Try these on for size, Connie Chung!!!”
;^)
paging Mr. Richard Feder from Fort Lee New Jersey...
Jane Curtain did a spoof commercial for a Dove-like soap infused with Valium. It showed her raking leafs in her yard, but the rake was upside down.
Loved Gilda. One of the great ones that died way to early.
From Wiki......Kinky Friedman...
.............By 1973, Friedman had formed his second band, Kinky Friedman and The Texas Jewboys, which many took to be a play on the name of the famous band Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.[10] In keeping with the band’s satirical nature, each member had a comical name: in addition to Kinky there were Little Jewford, Big Nig, Panama Red, Wichita Culpepper, Sky Cap Adams, Rainbow Colours, and Snakebite Jacobs.[10] More conventionally named roadie Jack Slaughter and road manager Dylan Ferrero rounded out the crew and provided most of the driving of the “tour bus”, a Cadillac with 10-year-old expired license plates and a propensity to break down (but, according to Friedman, her talent lay in her ability to stop on a dime and pick up the change).
OMG! I had that song on national lampoons LP goodbye Pop!
Hilarious!
I’m dead serious, but I voted for Perry LOL
