Not so, grasshopper. Remember when the federal government couldn't pass a budget, relied on continuing resolutions to fund the government, and those instances where disagreement led to a "government shutdown"? During those shutdowns, "NON-ESSENTIAL" federal government employees were furloughed. Did "non-essential" state government employees get laid off during the coronavirus-related state shutdowns? No. And now you will see states petitioning the federal government for bailouts.

The only federal employees considered “essential” are police, firefighters, and EMS. It’s a BS definition.
Does anyone know of any government “worker” who has been fired or laid off without pay during this BS? Crickets. We continue to be played for chumps .
