She’s just gonna veto it. Unless there’s a supermajority the vote is symbolic. At least they did it though.

GretchenFuhrer gets fawning coverage from Michigan press like the Detroit Free Press:

www.freep.com

Airbrushed photos, puff pieces about her newfound notoriety, etc.

The welfare millions of Detroit lap it up like good little proles.

Morons who elect thugettes like her and Debbie Dingell get what they deserve: bankruptcy and the Boot on the Neck.

I trust it was voted with a veto proof majority.

This horrible, democrat woman is proof of why we must never put too much power into the hands of the few. Only the psychopaths in society will seek out such positions and make life miserable for the rest of us.

The $64 question is whether MI law allows the legislature to over ride her veto and if so, can they get the votes?

Sorry, accidentally mailed rather than responding - I was wondering if they can override her veto because she’s certainly going to veto it.

I was also thinking that maybe we need new laws: such as, a governor is not a dictator and cannot declare a state of emergency (suspending the Constitution, apparently) without the approval of the state legislature, and even then can only do so for a limited time. This would be non-renewable and would need another vote from the legislature if it needed to be extended.

The actions of these governors have been insane and they seem to have unlimited powers.

garbage clickbait headline by garbage clickbait website ...

there has been no “repeal”, and the legislature has NOT yet passed legislation that would do so: only the Senate has voted to pass such legislation, but the House has yet to do so ... furthermore, Whitmer has vowed to veto any “repeal” of her powers ...

Okey-dokey, now open up for goodness sake! Repealing her emergency powers mean diddly squat if you don’t take action and open up the state! Diddley squat!
