Quarantining the people who have the disease works, when you know they have it. However, it seems as though many people have it and don’t know it. So-like typhoid Mary they are infecting people.
It seems this disease is also more contagious than the regular flu. Also the goal was to slow down the spread to allow time for getting the equipment and people positioned to be able to fight the virus and avoid a collapse of the medical system. However, the hospitals have responded by stopping their normal activities to concentrate on CV.
This is having a bad impact on the system’s financial health-and continuing this will result in collapse of the system from the bad financial situation. They need to have a separate facility or wing for CV and go back to normal activities—and the personnel for CV should be used exclusively for that —possibly some sort of rotation schedule could be worked out. We can’t stay locked up forever.
Heres an interesting article I ran across-just a brief excerpt and link is below:
The coronavirus remains the No. 1 cause of death in America on a day-to-day basis, vastly outpacing deaths from cancer, heart disease, Alzheimers, obesity, accidents, shootings and all violent crime combined. Nothing is killing more Americans right now, day to day, than the coronavirus. Clearly it isnt just the flu.
ehhh...not so fast
