Making unemployment more profitable than working is a major mistake. This is a repeat of the Obama years where unemployment insurance was extended, then the unemployed worked out a scam to transition from unemployment to SSDI by employing charlatan lawyers and doctors to certify them. The term "funemployment" was common with the layabouts. We can't afford a return to those policies.

Republican senators tried to make the paycheck protection plan not pay more than a person had been earning when he was working. They were blasted by the media for it and knew that that would be a losing argument in the campaigns next fall.

At least right now the money that’s going out is only for a few weeks not for 98 weeks like Obama had. I talked to some people during that time who had planned to retire in the next two years but stayed on until they got laid off and then collected unemployment.

In general, Government dependent people are Democrat voters while hard-working private sector people are Republican voters
