Someone has taken a red pill
He is speaking his mind and his overlords dont like it. Im sure he will have new opposition in the next election, but for now, he stays. Im glad his eyes were opened.
He’s still wildly liberal, just is starting to realize that the Dems aren’t really his friends.
Democrats in the DNC do not largely understand that Trump is more like their hero FDR than they are.
I deeply regret that Trump is basically a New Deal Democrat in terms of what he thinks the federal may lawfully do ... much as Reagan was, ... but at least hes Pro Life and for the tattered scraps of governance by constitutional means that survived FDR.
... where the DNC is for population replacement and finding the next Stalin or Mao to follow....
If only more liberals were like this.
Most people who claim to be “liberals” are nothing but fascists.
“The way the Democrat Party has treated me this past week has made one thing clear: they are the bigots they claim to hate, and I wont be silent about it,” he said.
Exactly. As long as you stay on the plantation and support the entire DemocRat party platform, you are welcome. But deviate on a single issue and you are excoriated and shunned and called every name in the book.
The Black Rat Rep from Michigan who praised POTUS Trump for talking about Hydroxychloroquine that she used to get over the Kung Flu is being Censured by her Party.
The Rats hate those uppity Blacks...
Although often used interchangeably — a gross error in meaning and use — “liberal” and “Democrat/Left” are two completely different political philosophies. Democrats/Leftists welcome — as they most often do — the confusion.
I agree. People who had liberal views 40 years ago would now be classified as conservatives by the progressive left.
True. And the Democrat/Left’s self-anointed “Progressive” description is very accurate .... as in “cancer is a ‘Progressive’ disease”.
“I deeply regret that Trump is basically a New Deal Democrat in terms of what he thinks the federal may lawfully do ... much as Reagan was, “
So who is President/politician you approve of?
Communists hijacked the term “liberal”, it used to mean “Classic Liberal”, which is what I would like to consider myself as being. But since the Communists stole the term, you really can’t use it.
He needs to post every hate-filled message he’s received from so-called enlightened DemocRATS. Let everyone see how evil they really are.
The one that rolls back the New Deal and everything built on it would be the greatest POTUS to have ever served.
But until then those that are opposed to the embodiment of and worst depredations that have arisen from FDRs lawless filth: the modern DNC.
Though the Me Too / Never Roll Back or Repeal moderate Republicans (Quislings all) arent all that much better than the Democrats.
Sometimes when society is bound and determined that living in a cesspool is what it wants to do all you can do at least fight to keep to the shallows of it.
What is it from the New Deal that you are thinking about?
A lot of what people might think is New Deal dates to the 1880s. Or Teddy Roosevelt. Sometimes even Lincoln.
Some of the most massive and intrusive national government arose with Lyndon Johnson and yet you can hear Rush and Hannity gush over the very bill that enabled it. And Nixon created the EPA and other agencies and programs that have granted all sorts of power to activist bureaucrats ever since.
Asserted powers to regulate and social programs for which there are no delegated powers come to mind. Taking peoples Money and the devaluing the paper currency given in its place was a spectacular turd burger.
Later arrogation of Law such as the a Great Society or EPA (funny you didnt mention price and wage controls) derive from these.
Good news...
I wasn't writing an essay. I said of Nixon "and other agencies and programs"
"Asserted powers to regulate and social programs for which there are no delegated powers come to mind. Taking peoples Money and the devaluing the paper currency given in its place was a spectacular turd burger."
FDR changed the dollar's value versus gold but there was still a link. Nixon is the one who ended the dollar's last link to gold.
LBJ's Great Society comes to mind for the massive growth of social programs. Which ones do you have in mind from the New Deal? In Eisenhower's administration IIRC all of them were contained in one cabinet department, HEW, Health, Education & Welfare
