I am guessing Trump is exerting influence and hasn’t given up on acquiring Greenland - perhaps like Puerto Rico.
Last July I hosted an event at a brewpub in Tempe where I spoke with a group of millennials about passenger rail service between Phoenix and Tucson. Their biggest concern was having their passports ready just in case Trump opened up concentration camps.
I have a little bit of the Devil in me. OK, I have a whole lot of the Devil in me. I couldn't resist.
"You know why Trump wants to acquire Greenland? That's going to be our Siberia, the home of our gulags. Every morning, you'll have to stand at attention, salute the flag, recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing "God Bless America."

He should have Don Jr. and Eric build a golf course there. The place IS “Greenl”and after all ;-) Heck, could be a whole new game with a zamboni to smooth out the fairways and ice hazards and a 5-star resort at the 19th hole of course.
