The New England Patriots have agreed to trade Rob Gronkowski to the Buccaneers in a deal that reunites the retired tight end with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.
Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Tuesday on SportsCenter that the five-time Pro Bowler has been "really invigorated" physically since he retired from football nearly 13 months ago.
"He tells me he feels fantastic, the best he's ever felt," Rosenhaus said. "His weight's back up to 260. He passed his physical with flying colors today. He's just really excited about playing football again, and being in Florida is exciting for him."
Gronkowski told Fox Sports in a text message: "I'm back. I always said when I have that feeling and it feels right, I will be ready to take the field again. And I have that feeling. I'm ready."

“So why is Gronk coming back?”

I have no idea. After those twenty concussions, I didn’t expect him to come out of retirement. He’s had back surgery, too.
I thought he was going into professional wrestling, but maybe he was offered so much money to join Brady in Tampa he just couldn’t say no.
Never happened with Brady. He always did what was best for the team. He gave everything he had every second he was part of the organization with only one objective: Win the Super Bowl. They could have had at least one, maybe two more (including this past year where Brady got zero weapons to work with) if Belichik just could have let his pride go and realized Brady was the star of the show and Belichik and everyone else was just along for the ride.
Pride is a very destructive thing Mr. Belichik. No more titles for you.
Be betting the Buc’s come Super Bowl time.
Antonio Brown has mental issues and wanted to get cut. He was making fun of Bob Kraft for the massage parlor incident. No way they could have kept him after that.
How spoiled were we?
Some thoughts...this is the NFC, not the AFC. I sense that both former PATS will be out of contention by mid season due to injury. Especially Gronk. They aren’t in the Pop Warner league anymore. Gronk has had 20 or so concussions. So let’s see.
George Foreman won a belt when he came back. That was incredible
Don’t be sure. I’m sure some here may not want it but it will happen
That makes sense!
Shades of Russ Francis!
A season in the sun, perhaps two, before Butch and the Kid ride off into the sunset, probably with partial ownership of the Bucs, certainly with ownership of the fans hearts.
hasn’t gronk had like a gazillion concussions? what’s he trying to do, get gazillionth and one concussions that will leave him as a vegetable for the rest of his life?
I remember the Eagles losing to the Pats 24-21 in Superbowl 39. Some of us Eagles fans said then, “Yeah, but it was close.” But it wasn’t that close.
We’ll see what Brady doesn’t with all the talent he’s going to have around him on offense this year. I’m skeptical. First Tampa plays is a tougher division. None of their divisional games are going to be a gimme. 2nd the addition of Gronkowski represents a potential for locker room problems if they don’t win immediately. Tampa already has a nice TE tandem. One of those guys is going to be leaving. These are the kinds of things that bite when the master plan hits a bump in the road.
Rod Gronkowski is the WWE “24 Hour Champion”. So if a defensive player tackles Gronk pins his shoulder for a 3 count does he become the new “24 Hour Champion”. :0
Alright!!
I love Gronk. I love everything about him.
Never underestimate Brady when somebody tells him he can’t do something.
