Well that answers that. I wondered if Brady was leaving New England in search of a quiet gardening spot to bide his time until retirement. But apparently he intends building another empire. Because if he were looking for a nice safe place to work until he can start drawing his pension, he’d be bringing the best offensive linemen money could buy, not his favorite offensive tools.
I hope they both do really well in Tampa. Love me some TB12 to Gronk!
I can also respect Bellichek’s position. Tom was getting old, but still was playing top notch. What do you do? How do you groom your next quarterback when grandpa is TB 12 and still has juice? And then one day, time takes its toll. The issue is you’re then not ready.
Tom spoke about this and even agreed it was best for both for him to move on. No hard feelings. However, I do think he was miffed about the team letting Antonio Brown go. Tom wanted him, and thought AB should have got his chance to defend himself before getting booted.
