UN predicts hundreds of thousands of children will die from virus-induced economic shutdown
Grim news about the number of children worldwide expected to
perish this year because of the coronavirus-induced economic
downturn have added substance to President Donald Trump’s
concerns about the cure potentially being worse than the
disease.
According to a United Nations’ report on the coronavirus’s
“impact” on children released last Wednesday, hundreds of
thousands of kids may die before year’s end because of the
economic realities being engendered by the current crisis.

Anecdotal stuff I’ve seen here and elswhere:
People testing positive but with minimal symptoms often are not contacted again so many may not be counted as “recovered”.
Read one account of someone with symptoms but minimal DX as covid19 but not tested, although she repeated asked to be tested. Was she the only one or are there many more like her?
Deaths not tested but with symptoms counted as covid19 deaths, either Birx or on the CDC site.
From what I’ve read, any deaths testing positive for covid19 even if they also have flu, counted as covid (and of course other perhaps very serious co-morbidities).
My speculation - Demshevik governors/state health depts run by Dems could easily fundge numbers, goal of course to make Orange Man Bad lose support for election time.

The photo was *NOT* taken at the Michigan rally that Governor Whitmer & Congresswoman Debbie Dingell were “protesting” - no, indeed ... the photo of the Nazi emblem with “Trump / Pence” on it was actually created by a BERNIE SANDERS SUPPORTER on February 29, 2020 at a PRO-BERNIE rally in Boise, ID

You reminded me of my visit with my grandmother to Romania in the late ‘70s. Every thing new looked just as you described. The most beautiful buildings were the churches built before the communists took over.

In the early 2000’s those massive square apartment complexes still stood ugly, but the people of Romania stood free. They hung advertising banners across the fronts.
Only the older architecture looked new. In the village of Rosnov there is a row of nice looking building facing the road coming into the village. Behind that stood the “Civilized Gypsy” shanties. The front buildings were for show. The people of Romania are amazing in their resilience.
I loved the three summers, during which I spent one to two weeks, working on volunteer projects for the people.

The only reason the pen was important was because it is known that President Trump favors that exact model. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also the model watch he wears, though I do not know that.
