“Best man at my wedding spent a summer stuffing a short block 350 into a Vega.
Uncontrollable.”
That’s not uncontrollable. This was uncontrollable:
64 Tempest LeMans, 421, 2-4s, cam, etc. Straight bar front axle, one bucket seat, roll cage, 9 inch rear end, etc.
Turned 11s even though it was going sideways most of the time.

Well... if we’re car sliding....
had a buddy took a VW bug and somehow jammed a Porsche engine of some type into it. Had to add weight to the front end to keep it from popping from the torque every time he shifted gears.
My only real fun was a Ford Escort with a little 4 cylinder engine. Managed to get it up to 110 on a steep incline ... I can only imagine it was a windy day. The speedometer only went up to 80, but I had a friend in an old Nova pacing behind me... I thought that car was going to rattle apart at about 95 but then it just pushed on through. We were all crazy and invulnerable back in those days.... sigh... good times...
Course then there was USNA ... I can’t drink beer (allergy of some type... think it’s the hops... whiskey, wine, sake, etc all ok) so I was usually a designated driver since I hadn’t chanced the other stuff yet and got to drive a lot of my classmates cars (cameras, RX7s, Porsches, alfa Romeo, a hearse that was a senior pass down car for years, etc)
