Corona Bears — too funny.
And, no, that isn’t my sister and mom.
KeK
I had a Corvair until my parents took it away.
I had a Pinto
Ricky? Is that you? I thought we lost you in a gas tank fire back in the 80s.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
My first “girlfriend” in the 7th grade - it didn’t last - was the one driving the Pinto that caused all the uproar about exploding gas tanks back in the 80’s.
mid 70s? looks like a ford station wagon.
I thought that was the T-Bird that your daddy took away.
That’s another one i never had. I always thought they were a great car (friend of mine had a convertible and he loved it)
hmmmm do we want to know why it got taken away?
Cripes...I really slid this thread for a while...
sorry about that.
Thank you!
I should have included our friend down under, when asking for the goods, in my direct question to you.
To me, Obama always had an air of supreme confidence when challenged by the fact that his “father” was a Kenyan (British subject) and not an American citizen, thus disqualifying him from holding the Office of US President, by virtue of the NBC clause.
It now makes even greater sense.
Dont forget, the Germans got a lot of their eugenics ideas and implementations from progressives here in the US...
*********
It was called Practical Eugenics. Turn of the 20th Century ‘scientific’ ideology.
It’s when sterilizations of “bad blood” families was started. Bad blood meaning if your grandpa or great grandpa did a crime, you were criminal blood sort of thing.
Its where abortions to keep the “mud people” from overwhelming “civilization” with the higher birth rates, that eventually became Planned Parenthood began.
And lots more.
Did it have the transmission push buttons, on the dash?
Oversteer in the first generation design with a swing axle. People werent following the official fire inflation recommendations, that combined with engine in the rear led to oversteer crashes, particularly the Lakewood wagon. The swing arm suspension, that quite a few rear engine cars also had including the VW Beetle, was replaced with a four wheel independent suspension derived from the Corvette in 65 and for the rest of production into 69. But, Ralph Nader had done his damage, plus the advent of the Ponycar led to shifting consumer tastes. A Corvair can be fast and certainly handled better than any 60s ponycar, but things were too far gone. I personally love the neat, orderly engine bay of a well kept Corvair, and the second generation was one of the best looking cars from that decade, period.

Hazards of Warehousing the Elderly
By G. Murphy Donovan
This has been on my mind. There has to be a way to screen and let family members in to visit. These people need to have family. Otherwise we are protecting them for nothing. Just feel terrible for them.
Good thought GCHQ
Being Brit Intel
Where Steele worked..
My daddy took the 1970 T-bird (2nd car) away after I dented the side of it pulling out of a parallel parking spot. He put it on blocks in the garage, covered it with a tarp, and used it as a storage bench until 1996, when he sold it to a complete stranger for $300.
First offered by Ford in 1973.
It had a shift thing on the steering wheel. I learned how to drive on it. I learned in Hawaii and for several years I could only drive barefoot.
Know what you mean, I learned enough BASIC to make a little choo-choo plod across the screen. Put me right off coding.
Had an Apple II clone after that but have been MS-DOS and Windows since then, would go Mac, but I dont want to replace all my software, and I really dont need a new PC yet.
Fred Nerks knows everything that anyone can know, most likely. I just remember some things. FN is a true hero.
