Study shows copper surfaces rapidly kill human coronavirus

Surfaces made of copper and copper alloys can inactivate a human coronavirus within minutes—as opposed to days for other surfaces—showing potential to combat MERS-CoV and other respiratory viruses, University of Southampton researchers reported today in mBio.

The team studied 229E, a human coronavirus closely related to MERS and SARS viruses that can cause disease ranging from the common cold to pneumonia. The virus remained infectious for at least 5 days on a range of common surfaces, such as stainless steel, Teflon, PVC, ceramic, glass, and silicone.

On a range of copper alloys, however, 229E was inactivated within a few minutes for a dose that simulated fingertip contamination. "Exposure to copper destroyed the viral genomes and irreversibly affected virus morphology, including disintegration of envelope and dispersal of surface spikes," the author wrote.

I do consciousness research relating to communication between a person’s soul around their physical body. I show how often the physical pain in the body is due to the location being an anchor point for an unresolved trauma memory that is stored in their soul.

This includes all types of trauma memories, both physical and emotional. I show that by blocking the memory from reaching the physical body the pain goes away.(temporarily as resolution and removal is much better)

This is how the Tommy Copper clothing blocks pain.

Not particularly, unless the mail is wet. Then you need non-porous gloves or whatever you have that won’t allow moisture to get through. Foil is a bit pricey, wax paper or cling wrap should work just fine if you don’t have any latex, nitrile or vinyl gloves.

Argya is the name of the condition resulting from massive ingestion of colloidal silver. The result is that one turns an odd shade of blueish gray. You gotta ingest MASSIVE amounts for this to occur. I make colloidal silver to 10-20 ppm. Over several decades I’ve found this to be an optimum level for anything I’ve wanted to defeat. Using the nebulizer means no one in my family has had any sort of chest issue for decades. Use the silver for two weeks only. I’ve never seen any issue last more than a few days. Never had to use the silver beyond three days.

Dilute food grade hydrogen peroxide to 3%, use a dark brown bottle and attach a sprayer that produces a fine mist.

This is not news. My old high school had copper alloy stairwells, door cladding, window frames and handles, etc. The stair rails were painted, but maintenance was poor and they were rubbed down to bare metal. Some contractor made a bundle hauling it all away when the board of ed had everything replaced in the name of energy efficiency.

Silver is not as good at room temperature. Silver has good antibacterial and antiviral properties at body temperature and higher humidity. Silver sutures work well for this reason.

Copper nickel alloy is very good. US coinage is clad in copper nickel. The current pennies are copper plated zinc. THe copper plating is effective.

Hospitals use colloidal silver against bacteria as well. Its record for viruses, however, is apparently more mixed.

I take a combo of copper/Zinc, have for years. Niece who has to have PLAQUENIL for Lupus, Sjogren’s disease said supply is short, they live in small town. No hoarding, there are millions of sick people who take this Rheumatoid Arthritis drug, daily for years. She has the worse form of Lupus. And a 14 yr old boy with Duchenes MD who depends on her. His dad is a EX CON DOPE ADDICT. WHO ABUSES HIM. STALKING THEM.

Colloidal saver generators can be purchased on line. Use distilled water from the grocery store, clean 1 quart jar. Takes 3 to 6 hours depending on concentration desired. Get a tester for total dissolved solids. Easy to make and a really effective safe antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial solution.
One can’t claim it cures anything because the FDA will have you arrested. So I can only tell of my experience as anecdotal instances. No claims of cure.

Not all, but copper is known for aseptic properties since ancient times.

Not that I know of, the commercial crap isn’t very good. I get hubby Gold Bond Eczema cream seems to work fairly well. Skin gets thin as you age, and shoes don’t breathe or fit the toe area well.

I gather you “roll your own”. Any comments on commercially available colloidal silver products?

My husband had open wounds from edema. He’s diabetic, and nothing the wound care center did was working. Then they introduced bandages infused with silver. His wounds healed very quickly after that.

Buy some fine weave copper cloth, make a face mask out of it. If its too coarse or rough layer something much softer against face.
Ebay sells it as RFID cloth, often used for shielding.
Not to be confused with copper colored silk.

Metal surfaces in general have this property.

scientists tested the viruses on plastic, stainless steel, copper, and cardboard. They also used a rotating drum to suspend the virus in aerosols, a mist of tiny droplets. This technique was used to determine if the virus could linger in the air. SARS-CoV-2 remained active on plastic and stainless steel surfaces for two to three days under the conditions in this experiment. It remained infectious for up to 24 hours on cardboard and four hours on copper. The virus was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours. These times will vary under real-world conditions, depending on factors including temperature, humidity, ventilation, and the amount of virus deposited.. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/study-suggests-new-coronavirus-may-remain-surfaces-days

Judging by the refective shine on the floor, it looks like there was a clear coat or epoxy layer over those pennies, which would negate any benefit of it being anti bacterial or anti viral.

How about aluminum foil? I need to get the mail every day. I handle it with paper towels and let it sit until next day. Then I open yesterday’s mail. Would Aluminum foil be better than paper towels?

Put it in the sun for a couple days or under UV light? Or just wash your hands after you handle it. Despite the "don't touch your face" paranoia, you do not get infected by mere skin contact, as it needs an entry point such as your mouth.

Do a search on “covered with penniesl...you’ll see all sorts of things...cars, counters. Really kind of neat.
