My husband and I have actually been WORKING. Some of us can do our jobs via telework.
It’s been a little clumsy, since we weren’t prepared for the sudden need to do it full-time for weeks; but we’re learning from it.
One of the things we’ve noticed is that most people seem very responsible about this, and tend to feel that when they are working remotely, they have to ‘ON’ 24/7, all the time.
In this kind of situation, you have to learn that the entire world isn’t really on your own shoulders; and there’s a point where it’s time to shut down and try to maintain normal life.
I worked from home a year or so. People would call and at first I would answer. They didnt seem to understand I was working and couldnt shoot the breeze. Finally I started running my day like I wasnt there until quitting time. It worked out but POd a few friends.
