“US weekly jobless claims total 6.6 million, vs 5 million expected @CNBC”
Hilarious!
BREAKING: Vice President Pence has barred Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx from appearing on CNN,
Because CNN refuses to air the daily White House press briefings.
Good move. They shouldnt get any viewership if they refuse to air critical information.— Ryan Fournier (@RyanAFournier) April 9, 2020
A good shower practice is to wash your face with your bar soap be fore washing your butt.
[I bet that was the poor Chinese grad student who had to go get those samples. Yuck.]
Much better and funnier than I expected. Thanks!
[By ethnicity, whites comprise 73% of all cases and 88% of all deaths. Blacks comprise 8% of all cases and 2% of all deaths. Hispanics comprise 5% of all cases and 2% of all deaths.]
What’s in YOUR blood sample?
It will be like a credit card, or bar code that you can keep on your SMART phone.

I know, right?
So, when we reopen, what about those jobs that depend on widgets from China?
Like those chest freezers I’ve been watching re: availability. That date just keeps getting pushed out.
Those jobs aren’t going to reopen.
And the economy, ex restaurants, bars, beauty salons and dress boutiques, will still suck.
Daily percentage of new Corona virus deaths to previous day's total by country. 25% = total deaths double every 3 days, 20% = every 4 days, 15% = every 5 days, 10% = about 1 week, 5% = about 2 weeks.
Yikes
Supercomputer Modeling Tests How COVID-19 Spreads in Grocery Stores
By Oliver Peckham
April 8, 2020
In the COVID-19 era, many people are treating simple activities like getting gas or groceries with caution as they try to heed social distancing mandates and protect their own health. Still, significant uncertainty surrounds the relative risk of different activities, and conflicting information is prevalent. A team of Finnish researchers set out to address some of these uncertainties by running supercomputer simulations of how pathogens like COVID-19 spread in spaces like grocery stores.
I expect your metric to hit a wall at a doubling rate of 6-7 days until a country is ahead of this.
I’m convinced the last time I got the flu it was from touching something (most likely the subway) in New York City.
I read an article, I’ll try to remember to look for it, that said this year the Japanese had initiated ‘social distancing’ measures to try to control their yearly flu outbreak. Including wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, etc. And that they’d cut the incidence of flu something like 90%.
Does anyone else remember seeing that link?
Doing this early might be one reason it didn’t take off in Japan like we were all afraid of?

“BEIJING, April 10 (Reuters) - Chinas factory gate prices fell 1.5% March year-on-year, data showed on Friday, marking the sharpest decline in five months and suggesting the economy remains some way off from mounting a durable recovery from the coronavirus shock that shut down the country. “

Remember me mentioning the quinine/chichona tincture a few weeks back?
Glad I ordered it, then.
I just (for the heck of it) checked....no where to be found, that I can tell.
