Pick a number and get in line. Theyll get to you eventually
“OK, either these Citizen Journalists are lying”

No, they just total clueless morons, likely kids. But it shouldn’t be a shock even to the most stupid of youngsters to find out there are no ICU beds in hospital parking lots. Complete idiots.
Something that I dont think people who arent in the business dont realize. These patients who are presenting for care are ALL critically ill. In a normal day even a big hospital only has a handful of these cases and the resources a case like that suck up are immense. In not only supplies but emotional drain on the staff. A bad outcome here and there does send an emotional shockwave through the staff on a good day. They understand it, it comes with the territory but it does take a toll.
What they are experiencing in NYC right now I suspect, is for each team member admitting these folks they are seeing something that usually happens once every few day happenings every hour. Watching that many people die hour after hour is not their normal day by any stretch of the imagination if they were all MIs. Imagine all that while wearing PPE.
When I was young there was a book. The House of God. The First Rule of The House of God is, The patient is the one with the disease. You really have to remember that to maintain emotional distance. These people are having to do this in an environment where suddenly YOU could be the one on the stretcher. It must be a serious emotional challenge to function in that environment. One the #s fail to inform.
As far as I know, underlying conditions and age put you at more risk.
But unless you’re obese, diabetic and over 80, you’re STILL probably not going to die.
Stick a trail camera out front, then count the images.
I agree with you. You never shut down you economy. Look around you. The roads, the businesses, the cars, the food you eat, the clothes on your back are all because of the economy. You don’t shut cars down because 40000 people die in car crashes every year. 250,000 people died last year because of medical mistakes, you don’t shut down medicine. If 10 cities in the US were nuked tomorrow and 5 million people were killed and 20 million injured you don’t shut down the economy. You never shut down the economy, its not like a piece of meat you can put in the freezer and take out in 3 months. This organized destruction of the world economy, and make no mistake it is destroyed, had to be engineered. Looking for who benefits.
“Same here in Oregon..Nate Guard set up beds at State Fairgrounds. ..doubt its got anyone in it...as our Guv is giving ventilators to New York ( Oregon )”
They’re doing that here in Boulder county, CO. I drove by three local hospitals today. Crickets.....
Our state and local governments are acting like it’s the Black Plague.
Om goodness what is gong on?
It amazes me how quickly most gave up all of their rights so quickly. We are a just weak country. We are trying to figure out whether to bother to stay in business. I assume this is the new norm to shut the economy down for 3 months every year because thousands of more people died from the flu. Numbers don’t work with a 9 month year.
Those 2 hospital ships are only for overflow of non-CV patients. They do not want to contaminate those ships. I personally think we ARE being somewhat played by the Deep State and their media accolytes, and proof of it is that the hospitals are NOT swamped; prompting CBS News to bootleg a video from a swamped hospital in Italy, and palm it off as an Elmhurst NY Hospital. Thankfully, CBS’ hoax was exposed.
RE: there are no ICU beds in hospital parking lots.
Yes, but a full parking lot would be an indicator of a a very busy hospital, whether ICU or ER, would it not?
And if so,what would a half empty parking lot indicate?
You have to remember there were freepers who claimed that the Pentagon was hit by a cruise missile on 9/11. I don’t think they are serious, it’s more of a mental game to them.
RE: ICU full for over a week, all are COVID19 patients on ventilators
I would guess then that the parking lots in your hospital are full... i.e. PACKED WITH CARS!
BINGO!
Hospitals unaware?
Snort.
Hospitals don’t want to part with income.
Forget anecdotal reports. We need to see utilization rates for every hospital in the state.
I asked that before.
Of course a lot depends on the hospital location.
In a large city like NYC or Boston, many of the workers would come on public transportation and there would not be so much parking.
Hope you don’t get pulled over and fined on your drive-by. When I read your remark it occurred to me that one reason they’re telling us to stay home is so we don’t SEE how slack the hospitals are and blow their cover. They want us at home, glued to the TV, white-knuckling the arms of our La-Z-boy chairs, scared crosseyed!
I know three nurses. In this part of Arizona, hospitals are SOOOOOOO NOT overflowing!
I will believe my own eyes thank you very much.
My sister is a physician, and she went from being a FluBro to deeply concerned as soon as her hospital was flooded with COVID-19 patients.
Riiiight!
And I can believe that how?
