:: You need to come visit Cletus! ::
I have. Numerous times. AT least 2x/yr from 2012 to 2017.
Bluebonnets, outcrops, trees...all foreign to West Texans but they do occasionally pine for the “fjords” of Hill Country.
Junction to Kerrville is beautiful, year round. The prickly pear bloom soon after the bluebonnets. And then there are the “Lady Bird Widlflowers”. Sportsmen should stop in Junction for a couple hours to wade the Llano for a Guadalupe bass, fly-fishing. Then, in the winter, take a route through “Freds”-burg.
Guess I’ll stop so that no one accuses me of hill-culture appropriation.
You Texicans are a hoot.

Trying times.
Awe Cletus, I know you visit Texas. I meant come help me antagonize my neighbor with pure bred liberty!
Our local bluebonnets are at the early profuse stage. Long drive happening this afternoon. Too wet to go on motorcycles which is best for smelling the fields. But the convertible with top down between showers is 2nd best.
