"If the nations liquor stores bolt their doors, can bootleg liquor be far behind?" ---- Let's hope so.
PA bordering states anticipate boom.
Like the Indiana gun and fireworks stores next to Chicago.
Without a doubt one of the dumbest things I have ever seen a politician do.
Wolf announced they would be closing in 2 days, which set off an absolute STAMPEDE of booze hoarders. Likely far more virus was spread in those 2 days than if they had just remained open with normal traffic levels.
If you are going to ask people to sit at home and stare at the walls it would help some of them to be a bit sedated.
Moonshine time boys!!! Get your lawlessness all warmed up and dont forget to hone those looting skills.
There was a rumor in my State the Gov was going to close down all liquor stores. I’ve never seen bottom shelf booze clear out so fast.
lol
i don’t know enough people in PA to distribute.
But I would imagine you could sell booze from your state at a significant markup without having to bootleg.
Just as an academic curiosity, anyone from PA with plenty of friends feel free to mail me.
One of the reasons Khrushchev was sacked was because there was actually a shortage of vodka in the Soviet Union.
I have everything here for a martini except for the gin! and brother that first one is going to go down smooth & dry :)
I was thinking about this the other day. With all bars and restaurants closed we are going to have speakeasies popping up again. People want to socialize and drink. They won’t be locked down forever.
Just as an academic curiosity, anyone from PA with plenty of friends feel free to mail me."

And yesterday Wolf tried to re-open for online liquor sales, only to have the website crash in the first half-hour a la the Obamacare Portal.
I am deriving great satisfaction from watching this smarmy weasel politically self-immolate.
However, they could've unwittingly contributed to "herd immunity", thereby shortening the lifespan of the virus.
Does that make me a Flubro? I'm still confused as to whether or not I am a Flubro.
lol

I’ve been (mostly) straight and narrow going on 20 years now, give or take.
Did you have to put this idea into my head? :)
Short term fast money would be filling a truck with booze and selling to a connection in PA.
I know NO ONE in PA.

LOL ....... "clearing out" like paper towels or toilet paper.
;-)
The liquor stores closing down had nothing to do with booze and everything to do with the fact that Pennsylvania’s liquor stores are run by the state and staffed by unionized state employees. I don’t know how if they’re being paid their regular wages with tax dollars to stay at home and do no work, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Beer distributors, distilleries, and wineries are still open if they have a waiver, which I’ve heard can be granted for a ‘life sustaining’ business if they sell food... even if it’s a rack of peanuts and beef jerky.
At one time our official state travel slogan was
“You’ve Got a Friend in Pennsylvania”.
Guess that isn’t technically true.
ROFLMAO!!!
If you know where to go in Fayette County, it is already here. Folks have been using heirloom recipes since colonial days and, I am told, it is better quality than what they sell in the state stores.
