When ever the FluBros invade the threads and post (often times completely bogus) stats they (often times deliberately) conflate the definitions. It simply isn’t worth the time to correct the terminology (even though I just posted such to you) and as long as we all know what ratios we’re talking about, we only have to sort out the occasional new reader.
Basically, the FluBros keep trying to (deliberately) muddle things up and most people can’t be bothered to straighten them out.
I disagree. IMO the FluBros are trying to convince THEMSELVES that they’re right, because it would be just tragic if they weren’t. It’s their chosen means of dealing with their own cognitive dissonance.
You're admitting that confirmed cases over death isn't the same as infected over death. Yet state confirmed cases over death as though it's the "death rate"
