I agree with you. The data you're using is from likely from WHO and IHME, Global Burden of Disease. Same as the graph from the link I gave.

I'm NOT faulting you for their false data. ONE day after it was published it was already over estimated by thousands dead.

Where are you getting your information from? I have today is 708 death in the US which is up from yesterday.

NY does a data dump, usually at 6PM which may not show up at worldometer for a while.

The west coast tend to report late as well because of the time difference.

Some other states also have late reports.

We will not have final US numbers until 9PM at the earliest.

I use the data from www.worldometers.info who seem to be the source for a large majority of news sources and etc. I wait until they post and move the data to yesterday's data before downloading. But yes, I agree, accurate data is critical. It's why I only use number of deaths and one of the more favored sources. Second most accurate, imo, is recovered. Least accurate is number of cases, as testing varies greatly from location to locations, when testing is done, and so forth.
