Yes, during the December-January time frame each year. Holland American and Princess to name two. They embark in Argentina and debark in Chile. I believe there are cruise ships that go there from New Zealand.
Don’t know about this ship, but there definitely are passenger ships that go to Antarctica. This ship, I suspect, is pulling some other and more important duty right now, I suspect.
While watching the President’s daily briefing, I was reminded that the ice-resistant, patrol-boat, sinking, ship we have been discussing is the Resolute when the President made reference to his Resolute desk. He said the name emphatically twice.
