For those who didnlisten...
Numbers from https://www.worldometers.info. Smaller ratio numbers are better. Data not validated. YMMV for informational interest only. PM me if you would like on or off the ping list.
I'd like to think cgbg for pointing out that the US death toll increased after worldometers.info posted last nights final tally to 912. The plot below reflects a correction. The US went over the 1,000 mark for deaths in a single day, making the Coronavirus the 3rd largest cause of daily deaths in the US.

Daily percentage of new Corona virus deaths to previous day's total by country. 25% = total deaths double every 3 days, 20% = every 4 days, 15% = every 5 days.
Possible reasons for the US spike:
The height of spring break was the weekend of March 14-15. The US repatriated 26K citizens.
Possible reasons for the UK spike:
Soccer matches may have played a role, since at the time, around 12th of March, Johnson hadn't implemented quarantines. The following weekend 14-15 would have seen quite a lot of matches and other activities surely allowed for mixing and mingling of people. There was also a data reporting change that could have contributed to the increase.
Hat tip to blueplum and calenel for their invaluable assistance in determining possible reasons for the US/UK spikes.
