Yesterday's thread here:

Agreed that CA will not be as hard hit as NY.
The problem is that urban areas will be hardest hit, and (whether we like it or not), that is where most of the major hospitals are—and a substantial part of national economic activity takes place there.
I live way out in the sticks with lots of property, but I have no illusions about the fact that the city problems _are_ my problem, because we live in a highly interdependent country (and world).
Eating bats, live animals, and even raw monkey brains is just asking for trouble.
If you read between the lines, you can hear the panic in their denial.
Yeah, and I can understand their panic. I think I may have panicked a few times here recently myself.
Problem is people rationalizing against it are likely to cause a lot of deaths if they get what they want, or just decide to do whatever.
We’re in for bad times.
I agree.
“Im pretty sure I read a piece in the daily thread yesterday that CCP-19 is not conferring immunity.
Not only can you get it again, there are several strains of it now, and you can be infected simultaneously by them.
This beast was engineered.”
I have a bad feeling
How about ooey gooey gopher guts?
Hobby Lobby to reopen some stores.
My family got the Hong Kong flu pandemic, even my cat got sick. Our family doctor made a house call, my sister took the cat to the vet hospital, and it was bad but we all lived through it. After his hospital visit, my cat was afraid of the milkman. My kids and grandchildren dont even know about it.
You're finally right about something, MasterBlaster.
:)
The type of bat that this came from supposedly is not native to the Hubei area.
However, there is documented scientific discussion of research that was being on this kind of bat.
For more information, see the latest from Tucker Carlson.
Whoever did this needs to pay.
Most of the larger cities on the east coast will go the way of NY. Consider Boston, Hartford, Philly, Baltimore, DC, Cleveland, Chicago, Houston, and Atlanta are probably all headed in the direction of NYV.
As you go west, some cities are more spread out, so they might fare better.
But to think the numbers are going to get a lot bigger is just dismissing the facts.
I saw it, the horseshoe bat.
I really appreciate Tucker on this. He’s the only one on Fox worth tuning into anymore.
While Fulton County (Atlanta) has the most cases (624), the worst hit place in GA is Dougherty County, GA in southern Georgia. The population is around 90k, but they have 480 cases and 27 deaths. It has one of the highest CFR per capita in the world.
It is rural as can be. If people think being rural can save you, think again. Unless you are planning to shelter in place, your small town grocery store is at risk.
In fact, I will even say that rural areas could be more at risk because people think they are safer. Fact is, unless you live on 10+ acres and never venture into town, you are at risk. Try go anywhere and see how hard it is to stay 26 away from someone else.

Obesity should be on the list (even though it overlaps with other items).
That is what will mess up the US stats when this is over.
I’ve got three of them, and I don’t see MI on the list, so that makes 4!
No human has natural immunity to the virus. Its going to go everywhere.
