And will scream and cry when Moma with her obesity and HTN and DM suddenly cant breath. Then demand someone take care of her.
People want to ignore whats going on?
OK. Just promise to stay away from the hospitals.
The Pennsylvania governor is now talking down the “models” that predicted the health care system would be “overwhelmed.” He says many models shows it now won’t be in Pennsylvania. Granted he’s attributing that to social distancing in part, but they’ve really set up a perfect scam for themselves. Claim a crisis is coming and then when it doesn’t happen, claim your measures to prevent it succeeded.
These mass shutdowns were driven by overblown, inaccurate “models” from the beginning. This virus or ones like it may certainly come back. And this mass curfew nonsense cannot be accepted as the normal way of dealing with it. Any reasonable approach would say you base a policy on shutting down the most high-risk areas of transmission like concerts, ask any companies to work from home who can, put out guidelines for people’s personal behavior such as wearing masks and standing apart and washing hands, and most importantly, use contact-tracing and testing to find and quarantine the sick, not the healthy.
Anyone who thinks a reasonable approach includes sending police to raid a family birthday party is a radical fascist.
I am not condoning what they’re doing with violating social distance. Just their spirit in obeying only reluctantly, resisting. They’d make lousy concentration camp guards.
Thats the part that bothers me... people running their health into the ground and then demanding we pay for it.
