Thanks again for your posting, BA. Please realize that my “complaint” is not specific; rather, it is that our Republic’s leadership at least at the state level is so narrowly focused on the virus that the “bigger picture” (liberty) is being, well, ignored.
Laws concerning quarantines, public movement etc have been on the books in THIS country since its founding.
Oddly enough, nobody was threatening to shoot the county health officer because he did his job.
We haven’t had to USE those laws for about a hundred years now.
We have forgotten.
And turned into a nation of giant infantile narcissists who are willing to shoot health officers, LEOs and anyone else standing in their way in defense of their right to disobey laws that are literally as old as this country.
While the crap in blue states is certainly something to keep an eye on...MOST of what they do is something to keep an eye on. If you’re in a blue state and haven’t moved...obviously you’re OK with all the OTHER rights abuses promulgated therein heretofore.
Our motto for April must be a simple one:
“No more lies. Lies cost lives.”

You can hardly call yourself an interested party this time.

I think many local politicians are feeling their oats.
I am very concerned about the power grab by many from the governors on down and am concerned about too compliant a citizenry which will, without thinking through what they are doing, surrender their Constitutional rights all for the claim of the great er good.
As if the government has the power or ability to do ANYTHING better than the private sector.
It doesn’t matter if some people would do something stupid without the governmental control.
They’ll do it WITH governmental control anyways. Because they are stupid and you can’t legislate away stupidity. You can only let it take its course and cull the herd.

New York (CNN Business)CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has been diagnosed with Covid-19, the network said in a memo to employees on Tuesday.
He is feeling well, and will continue to anchor his 9 p.m. program “Cuomo Prime Time” from his home.
“In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus,” Cuomo wrote in a message on Twitter.
“I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath,” he wrote. “I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!”Cuomo was most recently at CNN’s offices in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City last Friday. He anchored from his home on Monday, and interviewed his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The two men traded brotherly barbs about the anchorman’s basement live shot location.
Cuomo said Tuesday that he is “quarantined in my basement” and will “do my shows from here.

ADPH: Death toll in Alabama doubles as coronavirus cases statewide near 1,000

The Alabama Department of Public Health confirms there are now 949 cases of coronavirus and 13 virus-related deaths in Alabama. There are new reports of additional coronavirus related deaths in the state, but the ADPH has yet to confirm.
This is the third case of coronavirus involving CNN’s workspace in New York City. Employees were notified of another case in mid-March

About 750 members of the Louisiana National Guard have been activated in the crisis, to work at food banks, mobile testing sites, temporary hospitals and assist local law enforcement, said Col. Edward Bush, a public affairs officer with the Louisiana National Guard. Another 300 people who work full-time in the Guard are also assisting on the frontlines of the public health crisis.
