What are you basing your findings on? According to Fox News the worldwide reported cases are 730,000+ and the deaths are 34,000+. That represents 5% of the people who get this are going to die-far greater than any flu.

One can argue about unreported cases, blah, blah, blah. But this doesn’t match other flu models. When Russia and China are sending help to Italy in the form of bioterrorist and chemical treatment, one has to think this isn’t just the flu.

These numbers are 3 days old. Deaths are now at 2,500.

That is a doubling rate of 3 days, from 1,246 to 2,500.

That's one hell of a flu.

The minimal impact this disease has on most people is what troubles me. Very few people are going from healthy to dead with this. There are especially very few healthy young people who have died. People die all the time for a variety of causes - I think that far too many people will have Corona listed as cause of death when these people really have multiple causes.

You believe 730,000 worldwide cases is remotely close to accurate? You use that absurd figure to ridiculously inflate the death rate. You take your totally false premises and berate us because most of us on this thread refuse to let the panic mongers stampede us. Just go hide and wait for more US testing to be done. Widespread testing will show the death rate is the same or less than for other flu strains. Not to worry, by the time testing is done, the media stooges will have concocted a new way to terrify you into submission.

‘One can argue about unreported cases, blah, blah, blah’

well, yes, we could argue about that, couldn’t we...? think things might change a little if we had a more accurate indicator of total cases...? and if we had a good deal more information about who was dying and what their pre mortem conditions may have been to abet their deaths...?

“According to Fox News the worldwide reported cases are 730,000+ and the deaths are 34,000+. That represents 5% of the people who get this are going to die-far greater than any flu.”

Iceland: Tested 16,484 people, symptoms not required. 1,086 have tested positive. 25 have needed hospitalization. 2 have died. They are running a 2.5% hospitalization rate, which doesn’t match the idea that 5% are going to die!

How many people do you know that go get tested for the flu, when they get sick?
Compare that to the vast majority of people who get the wuhan flu, that have a mild case (80% plus). Are these people going to really go in and get tested? NO!
The death rate is SIGNIFICANTLY lower.
