Since hospitals in lightly affected areas are stockpiling ventilators, etc., I am in favor of Trump using the National Emergency Act to take possession, on behalf of the CDC, of every ventilator in excess of one per OR and one per ICU bed per hospital nationwide and then create a national inventory and redistribute them according to the real-time need.
This is a tough move for me, being essentially a libertarian on these issues (but not everything).
So the state can pile the stuff in a warehouse or sell it outside the country?
