Going back a long time, I'm suspicious of any trend that bursts onto the scene and becomes insanely popular, like this. There was a lot of media boosting of Rowling. The books are well written, but a lot of books are well written.
One thing that's clear is Rowling's books are quite deceptive and subversive. On the surface, they're chaste, with the most sexually provocative thing being a passionate kiss. Beneath the surface, it suggests extreme depravity. These are veiled enough that supporters can claim you have a dirty mind if you connect the dots.
Just a few notations:
Y'know how everyone said Rowling made up that Dumbledore was gay after the boos were written? Nope. He was never married, dressed very swishy, there were implications he was having an affair with a dark wizard in his youth, and implications he was interested in molesting the Harry Potter character.
His brother was into bestiality, specifically goats. He was arrested for performing improper charms on a goat. He raised goats. He talked about goats all the time. His patronus (a spirit force that shot out of the wands) was a goat.
Two characters (Hagird and Professor Flitwick) were cross breeds with mythical creatures. Hagrid was half giant. Flitwick was half goblin.
Tom Riddle's mother was physically abused by her father and brother, and there were strong implications she was sexually abused by them also.
My post 1561 is about Harry Potter. There’s some other stuff going on in the books.
+1 I am so behind.
Paranoid thought of the day. I just saw a promo on Twatter. Telling people not to include pets in the Census. I think they will try to get us to use SS numbers on census!

Yes, this guy gives excellent reports.
The release of inmates when there is no jobs and lockdowns is not a good idea.

Begin here
“The shortages are acute, and it is getting scary out there.
We cannot even get the bleach wipes that are necessary. Stuff such as this has never happened before. I understand that Cuomo in New York is a POS Liar who has been screaming for more ventilators while having a ton in storage. He is an Ass of the highest order.
The people who are running into those rooms, which mostly do not have the preferred negative pressure are risking everything that they have. Their lives for example. .
There are shortages of bleach wipes. BLEACH WIPES. The N 95 masks are even more desperately in short supply. The shortage of Ventilators is absolutely critical. The filters and HMEs are also difficult to come by.”
Whether it is hoarding or graft, the situation is serious. We did not have this problem during H1N1. Who is to blame? I think the media hysteria has a large part to play
I don’t see the 4/4/20 ... it’s right in front of me lol ;)
This has become my consideration as well - that China is partial victim here, the DS played on them ... except China is a closed society + communist and all, they didn’t know how to deal with it - SOP is to shut down the doctors, etc..
That was good stuff!
Well said.
the panic was planned for by the DS - that site that had all the bad models appeared to have prepared ahead of time - very slick yet appeared with data etc. days into these things. How? Now we know the London data was flawed ... and, even yesterday, Fauci noted, as soon as we can get test data into the picture the models will change ... except we’re not getting the data because 1/2 million tests were sent out that haven’t been returned. TBD + WWG1WGA :)

I am hearing the word mitigation quite frequently in daily pressers from the CDC demigods.
Looking for multiple meanings in the world of Q I found this etymological meaning for
Mitigation - “a seething”
I do believe the deep state is “a seething.”
___________________________________________________
mitigation (n.)
late 14c., mitigacioun “alleviation or diminution of sorrow, pain, or anything harsh, painful, severe, etc.” (mid-14c. in Anglo-French), from Latin mitigationem (nominative mitigatio) “a seething,” noun of action from past-participle stem of mitigare
mitigate (v.)
early 15c., “relieve (pain); make mild or more tolerable; reduce in amount or degree,” from Latin mitigatus, past participle of mitigare “soften, make tender, ripen, mellow, tame,” figuratively, “make mild or gentle, pacify, soothe,” ultimately from mitis “gentle, soft” + root of agere “to do, perform” (from PIE root *ag- “to drive, draw out or forth, move”). For mitis de Vaan suggests cognates in Sanskrit mayas- “refreshment, enjoyment,” Lithuanian mielas “nice, sweet, dear,” Welsh mwydion “soft parts,” Old Irish min “soft,” from a PIE *mehiti- “soft.” Related: Mitigated;
seethe (v.)
Old English seoþan “to boil,” also figuratively, “be troubled in mind, brood” (class II strong verb; past tense seaþ, past participle soden), from Proto-Germanic *seuthan (source also of Old Norse sjoða, Old Frisian siatha, Dutch zieden, Old High German siodan, German sieden “to seethe”), from PIE root *seut- “to seethe, boil.”
Driven out of its literal meaning by boil (v.); it survives largely in metaphoric extensions. Figurative use, of persons or populations, “to be in a state of inward agitation” is recorded from 1580s (implied in seething). It had wider figurative uses in Old English, such as “to try by fire, to afflict with cares.” Now conjugated as a weak verb, and past participle sodden (q.v.) is no longer felt as connected.
