Take-out customers at a McDonalds near here have to enter the store walking slowly backward (so coughs and sneezes are directed outwards), through the blocked-open double doors. Two staff members with masks in back of the doors monitor them for coughing or sneezing (and were watching prior to their entry). If the customers do either they are politely asked to exit just as they entered, without turning around, and are directed to a sign with a free home delivery offer.
That process seems really strange.
Why not just have everything go out via the drive-thru?
I think that’s how most are doing food pick up/delivery.
