If true, name the company. Who the hell would want to continue working for them anyway. What have you got to lose.

An unknown company is doing this, and the report is likely based on an internet rumor. Just why is Fox reporting obviously fake news?
And let’s assume there is some truth to this, I can see no legal basis for such a jackass company to get by with it. What one receives as an income from one entity has nothing to do with ones wages, there is no direct correlation.
I really think some lefty with an AOC grade mentality came up with this.
Actually, I don’t blame them. The stimulus was to help people who aren’t getting paid. The question is, why would the govt allow checks to go to people who are still getting a paycheck.

That’s not a scan of a document... It IS the document lol. I doubt there’s a source at all. The reporter typed up the letter, layered in the highlighting, then layered in the redactions lol. Talk about sloth; no effort at all.
This reporter needs fired, and so does his editor. Posthaste. Maybe even whoever is supposed to be supervising the editor.

Wild allegations and no verifiable facts ... but let’s run this story anyway. After all, we’re the network that had that misfit Shep Smith on the air and Geraldo Rivera Jerry Rivers reporting on the scene in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina — wailing about reports of people eating each other inside the Superdome.
If I work for an employer and the government sends me a check for any reason, then how does the employer know how much I’m receiving from the government?
It is not fake news, saw the name yesterday. They work with, but are not Xerox.

If checks are going to all those pork items, why not to people who pay taxes?

This money is a stimulus designed to put additional money into the economy. If it was enacted only as compensation for lost wages, it would have had less impact.
In addition, if it were compensation, it would have been proportional to lost income requiring the government to determine how much was lost and much was owed.
It was the quickest way to maximize the impact.
Still might be fake news, someone might be angry with their employer.
There is no way the company knows what people get as checks from the government unless employees told them.
