Just yesterday I saw a doctor on Fox who said that between days 1-3 of infection the test will be negative, the best time for testing is days 4-10.

This is one of the reasons our administration is saying “Don’t get a test if you don’t have symptoms.” It’s not only wasting a test but it can be deceptive to the person getting the test, who then maybe walks around as if normal.

But you're infectious even while asymptomatic.

And in many places, they won't even test you unless you're in a hospital AND with a fairly narrowly constrained group of symptoms.

Gee, WTF could go wrong?
