I think they are an important part of the historical record, as the best political cartoons always are.
it’s all too surreal ... if he knew then, then “we have it all” etc. means more than we know while simultaneously we know more than we think.

Kennedy raided Bronfman storage units in Canada during Prohibition to smuggle Bronfman booze to the US, all the while paying Bronfman on the “legit” side (meaning, sold in Canada) to (illegally) distribute across the border. Trucks by day and boats by night. The truck shipments were expendable. The boat shipments were free and clear profit when sold in the US.
