Just imagine...
I understand the arguments against using drugs that are not fully tested, but has anyone read ANYTHING that suggests cholorquine is NOT at least somewhate effective against covid-19?
************************
I, too, am trying to understand the arguments; however, I have read NOTHING to suggest chloroquine, “a widely used anti-malaria pill that was first approved in the US in 1949,” has no positive effect on COVID-19.
Thank you for sharing!
isn’t the godfather’s little brother named Fredo?
So I guess life ain’t perfect. ;-)

Update on tri-state area quarantine (not doing fed quarantine) but CDC can weigh in.
I’d weigh that against people maybe being afraid to donate blood because of fear of the virus. I haven’t donated in a while, and won’t for a little while longer as I’m on antibiotics for an ear infection (yes, an ear infection, not the Chinese Virus). don’t want to mix medicine into the equation.
That and I’m on something of a mandatory self-quarantine from the employer, with a very small number of co-workers still allowed to be physically at work (we can’t work at home, as our systems are on a very isolated network).
Anyway, the self-quarantine and fear is probably keeping a LOT of people from donating, and that means that supplies are possibly dwindling.
So the study just posted at https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3828727/posts?page=1221#1221
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41421-020-0156-0 is in vitro (in petri dish) versus in vivo mouse model. The in vitro study shows a mechanistic effect. So maybe the issue is just getting it to the site of action in animal model or humans.
Just speculating here, but the drug has a known antimalarial effect in humans and known pharmacokinetics and a long half-life (20-60 DAYS ; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8896943). It sticks around in blood, the site of action as an antimalarial. Thus is should be available to the lungs via the circulatory system (unless respiratory function is too compromised). Again, just speculating.
When it goes hot, I am on President Trump’s side.
Maybe he's overcompensating for coming up short in the shorts dept.
May God bless and keep them!
If they cannot or will not assimilate into America and learn our national language then simply deport them. This town is a perfect example to set. I wonder how many are here illegally? Expired visas, no longer a “student”, sham marriages, etc.
Calling ICE, please pick up the red phone.
I tire of the Democrats Balkanization of our Nation.

Gov. Cuomo on the phone: “can you get some more of those Coronavirus patients?”

@DilleyShow
I thought NYC Emergency rooms and hospitals were overrun with Coronavirus patients?
You can hear Governor Cuomo on TV talking about being in short supply as the waiting room sits near empty.

NYC wants us to believe that #coronavirus has overwhelmed their health care system...
...not the fact that 16 hospitals in NYC have closed since 2003 due to the state cutting Medicaid reimbursements.
Here is an article from 2017 explaining the crisis:

Need to add “in humans”
#ThePersistence @ScottPresler · Mar 26 Before bed, I just wanted to remind everyone of some happy news: FISA spying failed FBI coup failed Fusion GPS failed Stormy hit job failed Mueller report failed Impeachment failed Everything the democrats have thrown against President @realDonaldTrump has failed.
I’m gonna chime in with a me, too on the idea that it’s suspicious she would continue to film from home after quarantine is lifted.

On another celebrity topic, I was seeing conflicting reports about Hanx. There are pics of his return to LA. (Conveniently timed for when the USNS Mercy arrived?) The pics show him with men in suits. Some are claiming Federal agents. Others are claiming that he’s NOT in LA and that the pics are from his arrival in AUS. I haven’t studied any of it enough to have an opinion, but thought I’d throw these ideas out there so people could dig if they are interested enough.
Heh, I don’t remember the last time our President was wrong
about anything... ;-)
I was reading elsewhere that it opens up a zinc channel into the virus affected cell, and then it is zinc that seems to prevent its viral reproductive function.
